Nicole Richie smacked in the face by ‘notoriously clumsy’ interviewer, handles it OK.
And while the reality star has done her fair share of interviews, she probably wasn’t ready to be slapped in the face by a reporter.
The 35 year old appeared on Talk Stoop with Cat Greenleaf on Sunday 9 April to discuss her upcoming show, Great News.
And after Cat, 45, asked Nicole about the greatest news she’s heard all week, she sarcastically replied that it’s supposed to rain three times this week in Los Angeles.
The interviewer went to high-five Paris Hilton’s best friend, however missed completely and smacked her in the face, causing Nicole’s glasses to fling off.
While Cat screamed out in disbelief, Joel Madden’s wife simply sat there stunned, with her mouth wide open.
After asking if she was okay, Cat added: “That was the craziest high five of all time. I’m sorry, I’m notoriously clumsy!”
Nicole then quipped back: “I can see that. Out of my left eye only.”
The fashion designer continued to reference the hilarious mishap throughout the interview, and when asked for a fun fact, she replied that she was “just abused like two seconds ago”.
Nicole’s awkward interview comes just weeks after her younger sister Sofia Richie, 18, went “Instagram official” with Lewis Hamilton using a series of cheeky likes on the photo sharing app.
