US police officer’s dashcam films meteor blazing across the night sky in New Jersey.
Hamilton Township police Sergeant Michael Virga of New Jersey, told NJ.com he was on patrol early Sunday when his vehicle dashcam captured footage of a fireball just after 3am.
He recalled how it suddenly “lit up the entire sky like a lime green streak.”
At first he wasn’t sure he captured it until he checked his official dashcam later.
The American Meteor Society confirmed that the fireball was a meteor.
The Society announced the official confirmation after receiving multiple reports from witnesses about it.
