Paul Burrell, has warned Meghan Markle against revealing details about her romance with Prince Harry.
Paul Burrell – who was the late royal’s servant for 10 years – couldn’t help but cringe when he heard that the brunette beauty had been speaking about the flame-haired hunk in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine recently because it’s too “early” in their relationship to give people an in-depth insight into their love.
Speaking to Closer magazine, he said: “Meghan is in a position where she can’t win, and she’ll learn that soon. Maybe it was a mistake for her to speak out so early.”
And Paul thinks the ‘Suits’ actress will be under even more pressure to spill the beans about the royal family and her life now that she’s “opened the door a tiny bit.”
He explained: “People are so desperate to learn more about her, but if you open the door a tiny bit to your life, it’s hard to close it.
“Diana said the media was like a wild animal that she tried to tame but would always bite off her hand, and Meghan will learn that too.”
Paul’s stark warning comes just days after Meghan, 36, claimed she was “in love” with Harry for the first time in public and admitted the couple – who have been together for more than a year – are “really happy” together.
She said: “I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple.
“We’re two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception.
“Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”
And Meghan is prepared for a time when she and Harry – who is fifth in line to the throne – will have to “present ourselves” in public, but for now the pair are enjoying the “special”, early stages of their relationship.
