North Carolina woman’s husband is a person of interest in her death (Reports).
The husband of a North Carolina woman who disappeared before her body was found just days ago is wanted in connection to her death, authorities said.
The Nash County Sheriff’s Office issued a first-degree murder warrant for Lynn Keel. Keel, 57, was a person of interest in the slaying of his wife, Diana, but is now considered a suspect.
The whereabouts of Rexford Lynn Keel, Jr., who goes by Lynn, are not known. Investigators said Keel is believed to be operating a 1998 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 possibly pewter/gold color with North Carolina registration plate BBM-9232.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 252-459-4121 or Twin County Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111.
The disappearance of Diana Keel prompted a massive manhunt; first to find her, and then for clues that might lead to her killer after her body was found by a state transportation worker about 30 miles from her home.
The FBI and cadaver dogs joined the Nash County Sheriff’s Office as law enforcement authorities mounted a massive search for the woman, who was last seen on Friday. On Thursday, deputies used a helicopter to search for clues by air.
Diana Keel’s body was found Tuesday in a wooded area in Edgecombe County about 30 miles from her home by a state Department of Transportation worker.
