A man charged with attempted murder over a gun attack on a young family’s home in Larne, County Antrim, has been remanded in custody.
A 30-year-old man is due to appear Ballymena Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with attempted murder, hijacking and aggravated vehicle taking linked to an incident in Larne, Co. Antrim early on Monday morning.
The man has been charged with aggravated burglary and possession of an offensive weapon in relation to an incident in the Antrim area on 18 August.
He has also been charged with criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon linked to an incident on the Victoria Road area of Larne on 29 August.
Meanwhile, a 30-year-old woman has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice linked to an incident in Larne early on Monday morning.
She is expected to appear before Ballymena Magistrate’s Court next month.
Detectives investigating the incident in Larne have recovered two firearms during a search in the Millbrook area of the town.
